Here is an article about it. It makes sense if you think about it. Religious people follow the rules of the church and that means having lots of kids, plus not using any form of birth control. Atheists like me are able to make our own decisions and after weighing the pros and cons, many decide to only have a few children, or none at all.

It's silly to get upset at me for just stating the facts. I wish it weren't true myself, so don't shoot the messenger.

There must be some studies on this. Studies on the correlation between religion, poverty, lack of intelligence and the number of children. We could also include crime. Since money is a big motivator for crime, it would fit in here too.

I would pay the child support I was required to pay, and do nothing more. I would flat out refuse to ever see the kid or spend time with him. I would also never see his mother again and cut off all forms of communication. Hopefully this would help prevent more unwanted kids from being born in the future. It sounds harsh, but it's actually for the sake of children.

Only two of those links have any numbers. One is written by a reporter. Even the two that have numbers don't provide any actual data, collection methodology, or record of their analysis.

I'm not saying you're wrong. I think you're probably right. But for someone as "independently minded" as you claim to be, you seem to take a lot of these things on faith. You can't just read three abstracts and an article that a reporter* wrote about academic research and say that these are numbers supporting your claim.

Again, I'm not saying that you are wrong. I do think that there probably is some correlation between family size and intelligence, and I can think of several reasons why that might be the case. But jeez, Inazuma. Do better.
