A Clockwork Orange. Like most of Kubrick's films I appreciate the artistry and the meaning and the significance, but I just find myself tuning the movie out after a while. I did the same thing with Space Odessy. I loved that film, but I am positive there are parts I missed because I zone in and out. It's like watching a baseball game.

I must admit, Alex from ACO is one of the best villains I have ever seen on screen. Things he did actually made me want to look away. No smiles or "OOOOHHHH SNAPS!" like in most horror movies. That is impressive considering it's an older film without the luxury of today's technology. I think the current generation is so numb, including myself. I can actually admit I was shocked by parts.

I watched 'A Clockwork Orange' just recently too (Full Metal Jacket too). I recognised 'Conker's Bad Fur Day' intro and realised it was the other way around :P And that got me so interested in the movie, even though I got shocked by some parts of it, I kept on watching. I knew there was a higher meaning to it and in the end, I loved it!
It's amazing that such a movie exists since 1971, but somehow humanity can tolerate such stupidity in movies. And Malcolm McDowell has been an underestimated actor.

Yes I totally forgot Full Metal. This continues to be one of my favorite movies. In ACO, I must say Malcom McDowell was amazing. I didn't even recognize it as him. His transition from insane Alex to "cured" Alex was phenomenal. They were like two different people. I felt sympathetic for cured Alex (intent of SK) even though I knew the things he had done. Very powerful stuff. He makes you feel the point of the movie rather than just know what it is.

Awesome flick and one of Tarantino's best.

Plus how could you not love the opening Diner scene or iconic ear moment? If the Blu-Ray has any of the nice special features that my 15th Anniversary DVD does then your in for a treat.
I'm looking forward to it. I have actually been buying a few blue ray movies just to force myself to finally get either a blue ray player or a PS 3. Course the PS 3's price cut and strong library of games this year has me leaning towards getting the latter.

Anyway, I have been a bit delinquent in my Tarantino viewing. I've still only seen one half of Grindhouse and it was Planet Terror. I also haven't seen Inglorious Bastards yet

Watched Up with my wife tonight. Really good Pixar film! Surprisingly, my wife cried like a baby the whole time it was on.

I watched the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting, though I was kinda 'meh' the entire time.

That was one of the few horror movie remakes that I enjoyed. The second one in the new series was pretty bad though... I think it was a prequel.
