So, should I sell my Zune?

Post by Mod_Man_Extreme »

About a year ago I had been trying to sell off my 30GB Brown Zune when I needed money, but never sold it and ended up keeping it. So today out of the blue a friend of mine calls me asking if I still had my Zune and if I wanted to sell it for $200.

Now I'm torn on my decision.

On the one hand I love my Zune (I absolutely hate the music management software it uses, though.), but on the other I could really use the money at the moment.

Should I sell it or keep it? I'd probably end up paying for another 30GB Brown Zune if I sold my current one to be honest, but I've wanted some money to blow on this ( ) for a long time. Although then I'd be without any portable music for a while which can be a pain in the ass at times.

its really up to you, which do you prefer to do?
But I have to say that is not worth it.

I know its cool to have 3 monitors, but those in the video got a thick border and are way different to be enjoyed together. Maybe if you had 3 screen with thin borders with same quality it would be nice.

Do like I do, when I think something is expensive I think down in time. 10 years from now will I regret not doing it?
I mean, how much does the zune means to you?
and how much a cool setup means to you?

I'd say sell it post-haste. You can buy a 30gb Zune for much less than $200, so if you ever wanted it back it wouldn't be too difficult. Hell for 200 you can get a 120gb Zune if I'm not mistaken, though it is one of the newer models, not sure how you feel about them.

Plus, if you do end up going with the three monitor setup, you'll have some excellent bragging material!

Personally, I'd sell it and buy a smaller, cheaper flash-based player. A 30GB player holds well over 400 albums. There's no way you're listening to 400 different full-length albums (at 128kbps) on a regular enough basis to keep them all on your media player. I mean, I guess there's the "just in case" factor, but is that really worth that much to you?

I got a refurbished Sansa for about $15. Threw rockbox on there and it takes 16GB microSD. If I need more, I can shuffle around a couple cards, no problem. Does everything I need. Plays oggs, flacs, records voice, records FM, even has some games. What does the Zune offer that you that's worth $200?

I would sell it, but thats because 30mb is not enough for me. I put all my cds on my ipod and at 120mb its still not enough for normal quality. So I have two L-M on one and N-Z on the other.

Wait, what? I don't think they've ever sold 30mb media players. But I'm assuming that's a typo. And what do you mean by "normal quality?"

Well, if you like it then keep it unless you sell it and get something else. I was going to get a Zune, but I'm a cheap ass so I bought a $65 Sandisk 4gb mp3 player w/ microSD expansion. I don't really have that much music so I am pretty happy with it and I don't like iPods.

Flash is 100% shit in my opinion, I'll take a nice hard disk player over that any day; plus, I only hear my mp3's in 320kbps or on lossless formats.

That having been said I love my Zune, the 30GB players look and feel near perfect in my opinion and I have no reason to need 120GB+ on a media player.

All things considered, though I think that maybe I'll just keep it. I would honestly just end up buying a brand new Brown 30GB Zune player (Used MP3 players are ugly worn out pieces of crap 90% of the time) with the money I got for it.
