Re: Name that Game Round 3 - THE ULTIMATE RETRO CHALLENGE!
Yeah, I was hedging on whether to black out more of their hands since it is pretty obvious they're holding pads and not sticks. Then again, ad models don't always know how to use the devices properly and aren't always told either. There's a 80s Apple (I think) ad with a celebrity holding the mouse in a way that just wouldn't work. Granted this was before all computers had a mouse.MrPopo wrote:I'd really be shocked if it turns out to be a joystick system. The way the kids are holding the input device suggests a controller, and the hairstyles suggest no later than 92.
Also, note the TV has black and wood grain. That pretty much puts it at mid 80s as well.Ack wrote: Yeah, but they also lack some of the scruffiness of the late 70s, early 80s, so I'm thinking mid to late 80s. And with the way they're holding those controllers, it's definitely a console with controller cords that come out the top or bottom, not the side, and likely have a now-traditional layout.
I'm not sure what's up with them playing with the NES and the living room's TV on the kitchen counter though.
