Re: just don't like metal gear solid
I played SC on PC. First person means PC play for me. I was at a friend's at the time, but I just didn't care for it after about 15 minutes of giving it a go. IIRC it was either something odd about ledges or hiding in shadows that bugged me. Obviously this was years ago and I don't remember clearly.GSZX1337 wrote:What'd you play it on? I kind of agree....somewhat.
I think Metal Gear Solid for psx was one of the greatest games I played at the time. MGS 2 I also liked, I haven't played 3 yet, but I was playing 4 last week and realized how bored I was. It is filled with so much boring cutscenes of just talking about things I don't even understand or care about that I become increasingly bored with the game. Then when I do get to some actual gameplay, I spend so much time hiding under trucks waiting for the 'Evasion' to count down that I find myself just waiting and waiting until I can finally play the game. However I have played the final boss battle and it was quite amazing. So i'm in a mixed bag about the MGS series.

The cutscenes were awesome, especially the one where you first see Raiden. You have to use the Octocamo and hide well so you dont get an Evasion. I agree that the final battle was awesome.winds wrote:I kind of agree....somewhat.

There's a demo for the original Splinter Cell if you'd like to try it again.Hobie-wan wrote:I played SC on PC. First person means PC play for me. MGS is amazing. The games take a bit of getting used to, but you grow to love them. And the story is worse...but it eventually sucks you in with it's top notch, soap opera drama. Kojima is like a mad scientist.
1 and 4 are my favorites, and even the demo for Peace Walker is beyond awesome.
