L4D 2 Lag!

Is anyone else experiencing crazy amounts of lag on left 4 dead 2 for the 360? I've only played it about 3 times so far but everytime I try to play online it goes insane. The first time wasn't so bad, the 2nd time I lost a connection with the server, and the third time was just too unbareable. I couldn't even make it up a latter due to lag. I don't get this with any other 360 games. I hope they release a patch fixing this or something soon.

I've been experiencing a bit of lag on the PC version as well. The only reason I think it could be is for the enormous initial server load that has been happening. Don't worry, it will subside hopefully in a couple of weeks or if there is a software optimization, next patch.

Likely because of heavy user load. I'm thinking of getting this. L4D is about the only online shooter I've been interested in or had fun with.

Game is fine on PC...

Well, until the great unwashed started playing, game was awesome when it was just people who pre-ordered. Now it's full of gibbering retards who have no clue how to fucking play the game at all, "I know, I've never played this team game before, I'm going to play Versus and ruin somebody's game by shooting them constantly and throwing a fucking molotov onto 2 incapped survivors." I'm seriously sick of having to fucking Kick these retards, I wonder if there's a way to bind 'Kick player' it to a key...


The lag you are experiencing is the shitty-ness of the P2P hosting on Live. It's one of the reasons I refuse to play FPS games on the 360 (and modern warfare 2 on PC). As long as I can get onto a dedicated server, the lag is fine. It also seems to do a much better job of putting people from your country into the same game. I've only been shoved into a game filled with yanks once so far and even then my ping wasn't too bad (70-100)
