i'm working my way towards a free wii/ds lite.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

mycokerewards.com

3250 pts: DS Lite
6250 pts: Wii

i've been scouring dumpsters and recycling drop offs for points codes. if i keep up the rate i've been going at, i'll have both in 4-5 months.

gonna be a long way.

Are you just focusing on one in particular first?

well i think once i get enough for the DS i may just go ahead and get it. if i keep up the pace that i've been keeping up i will have enough points for both (9500) in 180 days. but i may be able to increase my daily point percentage by picking up 12 and 24 pack codes, which are worth 10 and 20 respectively.

you can only enter 10 codes a day and the majority of the codes i have found (read: dug out of the trash) are bottle caps, worth only 3 points each. i've been heading to the recycling center to rummage through their ever-changing collection of cardboard and plastic on the daily and i have enough caps, which are much more common, to fill in the gaps to make it to 10 codes daily after the 12/24 pack codes (if i even find any that day).

so, in essence, i am dumpster diving and finding brand new nintendo consoles. crust punks and homeless people everywhere would be proud.

Lol, sounds terribly awesome. This is one of those things that kids always want to do, but never have enough to even get the crappy watch or T-shirt. Good luck! Lol, reminds me of that one pepsi contest where the kid had enough points for the plane but they denied giving to him. Hilarious, well...not for the kid of course. mebe it was Coca cola. I'm sure someone around here should know. :P

The best dumpster dive I've ever had was I found I think to be about 4x 200 packs of 3.5 1.44mb discs back around 1995. They where of some Buick promotional material that was tossed out, so they all had the Buick logo prominent on the front.

They lasted about up until 3.5's went out of style.

I once found a master system, a controller, and two games in a dumpster neer a flea market. I didn't take it home beacause the thing was covered with something sticky and the cords weren't with it.

About 15 years ago my mom and I found a Commodore monitor(which wasn't ancient then) at the curb and the owner said it didn't work. So we hauled it home, turned it on, plugged in the C-64 and, like she said, no video. I looked at the switches and discovered it was set to the wrong resolution(80 column mode for the C-128), flipped the switch and boom, perfectly working monitor. Still works to this day. :)

Anyway, Aaron, do let us know if you actually get anything, especially a Wii. I am willing to bet Coke/Nintendo don't think they'll ever be sending any of those out. :)

On what grounds? That is messed up, offer a prize and not hand it out.
