OK everybody! I have a forum challenge! I'm working on another TG-16 themed article for Racketboy and I need some help getting screenshots. I just don't have time to write AND play in any depth at the moment. So I figured the best way to get awesome screenshots would be to invite yous guys to help me out!
I'll put a list of games at the bottom of this post and I want anybody who's interested to pick a game or two and get me at least 3 awesome action shots from more than just the first level of the game. A shot of the first level is fine, but it might be nice to have one from level two or three and a boss to boot, see? I need all contributions by 10 PM tomorrow (Thursday, June 21). That's roughly 30 hours from now! (Don't worry, if you're a few minutes late I'll probably still let you slide.) Just IM me for my email address so you can send them to me. When you have them together, put them in a zip file with the name of the game and email them to me.
Naturally, I can't put every pic in the article, but I do want to give the best shots credit. The winners, who's screengrabs will appear in the article, will get... Props for their contribution! I'm sorry, I'm a poor grad student. I have no prizes to offer. I'll make sure I include a special thanks section at the end of the article listing the names of the winning contributors. I'd also be happy to look into one of those Flickr slideshows so that everyone's contribution can be included in some form or fashion.
Magic Engine isn't free but it's the easiest way to get screenshots since you can assign the Pause and Screenshot commands to any keyboard or gamepad button. It also keeps the screenshots at 1x resolution. Ootake is also an awesome, and free, emulator that doesn't have built in screenshot capabilities, but some of you are talented enough that that won't even slow you down. Hugo is also a good tool, at least for the TurboChip/HuCard games. Please make sure your screenshots are the original resolution, not pixel-doubled, stretched, or filtered.
Here's the list of games I'm looking for! All games are US versions unless otherwise specified.
Bonk's Revenge
Air Zonk
Blazing Lazers
Soldier Blade
Devil's Crush
Bomberman '93
Ninja Spirit
Ys I & II (CD)
Gates of Thunder (Super CD)
Lords of Thunder (Super CD)
Military Madness
Parasol Stars
Dracula X (JPN, PC Engine. Super CD)
Thanks everyone! I hope we get a good response on this!
30 hr forum challenge! Go!
What about grabbing them via Google?

Good point... it's just a lot of effort that I would prefer to spend writing...fastbilly1 wrote:Unique screenshots are better than the ones everyone else has. You know that is what gives your article an extra little push, shows your readers something or another.
