What was the last movie you've seen?

Interesting thought, I heard that Uwe was so tired of people criticizing his movies that he challenged all his critics to a boxing match to see if anyone was man enough to step up.

He did. He took five people who claimed to be his top 5 critics to box. He said he would offer them training and equipment. While they did end up getting the training, none of them ever got trained, and the only one of the five who had done some boxing training, Uwe refused to fight.

You also need to realize that Uwe was a professional boxer for a few years in Germany. He didn't stay in for too long, but it was more than enough to cream the guys he fought(one of which required medical treatment afterward).

And I've played the games. The House of the Dead film was bullshit.

Holy crap, I just managed to be impressed by him somewhat. I like boxing and respect him for it. I wonder why he refused to fight the one guy who got training... taking into consideration that he used to box (not sure how old he is actually) you think he would have jumped at the chance for the satisfaction of beating the crap out of a critic.

I can't seem to remember any other Uwe movies at the moment... there is one with the female terminator chick that was dreadful, and I know I have seen others. Everyone list your least favorite Uwe movie... there must be like 10 movies.

Finished The Marx Brothers' A Day At The Races a few days ago. It definitely had some amazing scenes and gags, but pales in comparison to Duck Soup.

Some people have too much time on their hands... I like when people start wetting themselves about movies being realistic, especially animated movies. Because, all I have to say is, the animals freaking talk?! Is it really worth judging any other aspect of the movie as being realistic?

That reminds me of a very old X-Men comic. The X-Men first visit the Savage Land within the first ten or twenty issues. While they are visiting this tropical, underground paradise located at the south pole, they see something like a stegosaurus fighting a tyrannosaurus.

Wouldn't you know it, an issue or two later they publish a letter from some reader complaining that stegosaurus and tyrannosaurus couldn't fight because they lived at different times.

I think Uwe Boll's movies are hilarious. To me they fall under the so-bad-they're-good category. And in a way, I find him impressive because he knows everyone hates his movies, but he just keeps cranking them out. He figures out a way to fund them on his own. He doesn't try to just change up his style to... well make money or a "good" movie. It's original. I feel like in 20 years his films will have a cult following that they don't have now. THINK: Ed Wood. Unappreciated in his own time. But now...

I think it's obvious. Uwe was willing to put people in the hospital, but wasn't willing to put himself in the hospital. In other words, he's a coward on top of being a hack.

The great thing about Ed Wood is that he legitimately tried to make good movies. He may have failed completely, but he was never trying to take advantage of any loopholes that would give him back all the money he spent on a movie if it failed. Also, all of Ed Wood's movies were Ed Wood's movies. If "Plan 9 From Outer Space" was "Star Trek: Plan 9 From Outer Space", maybe they would be on the same level.

Ed Wood was the little man who just couldn't, despite all his effort and creativity. Uwe Boll is the loud asshole who refuses to use effort because he makes far more money with failures, and uses what little creativity he has to ruin established licenses.
