Damn it, I just ordered everything off ebay. Now I have to cancel it.

you need the converter. using those passthrough adapters won't work because you need the converter to convert RGB into Component Video, since NTSC televisions don't natively support the RGB signal that is being output from the game console

as far as the ac adapter goes, as long as you can find a US ac adapter with the same voltage and center positive tip it will work.

Where can I find a cheap converter? I emailed the seller of the previous converter, and he said the converter wouldn't work on NTSC TV's.

YPbPr isn't component, but RGB? That's odd; my TV has YPbPr ports on it.

that''s strange..i'm not sure why the seller would tell you that it wouldn't work on an ntsc tv. i bought that exact converter from that exact seller and mine works.

So then why did the manufacturer make the Scart-to-Component cable in the first place if the concept was fundamentally flawed? As you can see, I'm desperately trying to justify my purchase, as the items are already shipped, and there's nothing I can do.

Sorry to say but unless your TV is a European model that can handle RGB via it's component inputs (Or a US HDTV with RGB via Component compatibility.) then you're out of luck.
