Are there any US exclusive games worth it?

Unless you are in JAPAN I think there are no real exclusives. I live in a region where it is a mess(MW2 is out here and being played online already, ORIGINAL copies), you can get anything, I don't even know what the word imported means(. Everything is.

As for JAPANESE games, to me they are not worth it simply because I can't figure out the game. Better stick with the English ones.

What exactly is there to figure out in a game? Unless it's a visual novel, there's no reason not to play Japanese games unless you have the option of English.

how about I can't figure out what the option menu says, or what is happening or what I am supposed to do next. How about an RPG applying magic or choosing a reply to a question.

I think you can play Japanese games if they are puzzles or arcade like. Otherwise, its too difficult.
I personally want to play that DC game Segagaga I think its called.

I've played a good bit of the Super Robot Wars games, and they are very heavy on text. Doesn't really matter. The solutions are called Trial & Error, with a nice side of GameFaqs.

Heck, more than 75% of my Saturn games are Japanese, and the Saturn is without doubt my favorite system.

What I think kingmohd is getting at is that he doesn't want to have to trial and error a game. I'm the same, I tend to avoid japanese heavy games, I know enough basic japanese to know what is yes and what is no and get around in basic games, but playing an rpg or text heavy game is hell for me, I don't want to sit and read a fantranslation on a website while I play a game, I want to kick back on my sofa and just play rather than study.

Well, I never do read fan-translations or anything while I play something like Super Robot Wars Alpha 3 - I just play it. I don't need to know what's going on in the story (although most good games will rely on more than just text/verbal communication to deliver a story) to enjoy it, the battles are more than enough for me. I only use Gamefaqs when I get stuck at a certain point.

Certainly, I can understand not wanting to play a game that is in a language that I don't understand. I'd just like y'all to understand that, to a great deal of us, we couldn't care less what language the game is in.

To be fair though, does anyone play any of the Super Robot Wars games for the story?

Look on the bright side though, with the apparent decline of the Japanese gaming industry you probably wouldn't feel a strong urge to learn the language.

Yeah, I got confused. I forgot my shmup buddys have JP 360's and I had played Pachi and Death with them. That and playing all the PS2 releases (rather the two good ones) plus recent anouncement for Mushi being region free got all blending in my head.

So unless you get US 360 for super cheap, go fo the JP version, it's not like Japan wants them :)
