PS2 Arcade ports?

Post by wakeup »

I've always been interested in playing arcade ports and I bought my dreamcast because of that. Games like Zombie Revenge, Virtua Tennis, Dynamite Cop, Charge N Blast, Cannon Spike, 18 Wheeler and of course the fighting, racers and shmups.

Lately I got a PS2 and I've been looking for arcade ports after I have exhausted the dreamcast arcade catalog. I'm looking for any arcade ports or games that is not fighting, racing, shmups, sports, light gun or the pre-1990s arcade compilation. I've only been able to find some games that are very arcade based like Dynamite Deka, firefighter fd 18 or The King of Route 66.

Anyone can suggest me of any more ps2 arcade ports?

Well that's like 95% or more of arcade games. What's left, beat-em-ups? Good luck!

Zombie Revenge :beat em up
Virtua Tennis: sports
Dynamite Cop: beat em up
Charge N Blast: Shooter
Cannon Spike: Shooter
18 Wheeler: Racing
and of course the fighting, racers and shmups.

All the games you mentioned fall in the genres you said you didn't want. :?:

Well, I can't think of any that are ported from the arcade, but if you want beat-em-ups with an arcade feel, you might want to try Dynasty Warriors series, Gungrave series, Lord of the Rings series, Shinobi, or God Hand.

I've been meaning to check out God's Hand. How is that?

Also, is there any shmups on the ps2 on the quality level of Zero gunner 2, mars matrix, border down, ikaruga, under defeat? Those are probably the only ones I enjoyed from the dreamcast.

Thanks for the recommendations by the way

I have heard rumours that godhand is extremely hard. But I am not sure because I have not touched one yet.
