Will Sega be back on form at E3?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Will Sega be back on form at E3?

Post by kinn »

I dont know about you guys but to me, ever since Sega mergered with Sammy their gaming output has not been great IMHO.

I mean where are the likes of Jet Set Radios, Shenmues, Rez, Skies of Arcadia, Space Channel 5 etc? Just seems that there output has been reduced and become conservative.

Well since E3 is around the corner, what do you guys think Segas lineup will be like? You think we will see them back on form?

I had something to say about this...

but then I figured, why bother. It's Sega. They've turned into your retarded whore of a sister... you love her, but she's still a retarded whore of a sister.

Yeah there is. E3 mini is what some sites are calling it.

Wonder what are the chances of a new Jet Set Radio game....? (still cant play JSRF on the 360 in the UK! )

Thats an article from Edge I believe. Just gives the impression that Sega is now relying mainly on USA and European developers now i.e. Crazy Taxi, Sega Rally, Aliens RPG etc.

But what the fudge are Sega's Jap developers doing?!? Whats Yu Suzuki working on now? And I know he working on Shenmue online (isnt he?) but what else? Surely he cant be just working on one game?!

Same thing with Sonic Team. What are they working on? Just that new Phantasy Star game? Isnt that out now?

Just seems like Sega's Jap teams are just scaled back and are only working on fewer games and taking fewer risks....

It pains me to be a Sega fan. Just wished that Sega had in fact merged with Bandai instead of Sammy.

i had heard that GenCon was going to be the big video game trade show for the next couple of years. like they were just going to start having more gaming booths and more game companies there.

i hope so because it's in indianapolis for the next few years, i believe :)
