Easy Video Editing Software

Post by lisalover1 »

I've never done much video editing, but now I need to do just a bit of it. I just need to delete certain parts of a video. I used to do some audio editing using Audacity, and I liked it's timeline display. Is there any simple video editing software with a GUI similar to Audacity?

I've only done a bit of video editing, but for what you are needing, I think Virtual Dub will do the trick.

If you have any questions about it, let me know, I will do my best to help out.

I was in pretty much the same boat as you, and I ended up just using Windows Movie Maker. I'll I wanted to do was splice out parts and splice segments together. WMM is very easy to use, and it comes with Windows, so I just went with that.

Was the first program I used, very easy to use and you can find it everywhere. Once you get a bit better with it and you want to do some more technical things with your work try Sony Vegas.

Ulead = Very easy to use.

yea..i just started using that as i got it with my EasyCap capture card. its been pretty good. basic but you can add in chapter points and burn to dvd. the chapters is a big plus as i havent found many free programs that do chapters at specific points (rather than just every _ minutes)
