I dont own one, but Breath of Fire 5 intrigued me as I watched a friend play. The thought of a fast paced RPG who's main character has a timed lifespan that you cant do anything about really seemed interesting. Its kind of like Majora's Mask in how you're given a short time period to accomplish what you can, and then go back in time to "continue".

Technic Beat. A very unique rhythm game with licensed Namco tracks. Circles appear on the stage which slowly close in on themselves until the beat of the song. Your character has to run from circle to circle on the stage in order to set them off at the right time, possibly setting off combos and stuff. Bought it at GameStop for $15, and I've never seen another copy in my life. :)

MY Fav PS2 Games that no one's played are:

Berserk - Sequel to the DC game. In Jap but playable and OMG the grahpics and physics are incredible.
Hokuto No Ken (Fist of the North Star) Very fun, nostalgic and hard as hell.
Gitaroo Man - Music Game, very fun, original, incredibly difficult to master.

Not a sequel. Totally different games from different companies.

That's a nice list but most of those aren't exclusive and some are remakes. But those vib ribbon titles I've never seen before.

Here's some of the lesser known ? I wouldn't say hidden gems because they may not be.

- Gitaroo man
- Mad Maestro - music game like gitaroo
- Okage Shadow King - Comedic RPG
- Rygar - long awaited sequel to original 3D graphics but 2D gameplay
- Skygunner - Cel shaded 3D flight battle
- Diaster Report
- Mr. Mosquito - play as a mosquito sucking blood from a family

And some others that you should have if you own a ps2

- Contra Shattered Soldier - 3D but 2D gameplay very good very hard
- God Hand
- Ico and Shadow of the Colossus
- Klonoa 2 ( still waiting for number 3 )
- Okami
- The Red Star
- Odin Sphere

Coming soon

Grim Grimoire - RTS by Vanillaware
Raw Danger - sequel to Disaster Report
