You assume everyone uses a desk, or that everyone's desk isn't translucent. I could say no to either of those on various occasions (I'm sitting on a beanbag at the moment).

There's a sick part of me that's always wanted one of those. The one you linked to is extra creepy due to the sad facial expression.

I've begin to get back into Anime and general nerdy culture this past year (I neglected my inner nerd for quite a while for reasons that I will not specify.) and have come to really want one of these for the sheer comedy and comfort factor.

Just find one that fits your hand comfortablly.

Your mouse is only so much for how well you play the game. I know one guy who is by far one of the greatest FPS gamers I have ever played with or against and he insisted on using a ball mouse for twitch games. I personally use the low end Logitech opticals. Mainly since they are cheap, last many years, and are easy to use with either hand. Which is important since I am left handed and all these new RTS games follow the damn Blizzard right click bullshit, so I play them left handed.
I've always liked the Logitech MX300 series mouse. They are not that big, have good precision for FPS and not overpriced. My last one lasted about 3 years until the left mouse button died, now I'm using this look-a-like and this. Around $20 for both but don't know if they are available in the US, just got them because they were cheaper and easily available here.

After all its the skills that count.
