Cases for N64 Games

Post by PharmaceuticalCowboy »

I was browsing here and stumbled across an ad with a case and an N64 game. This reminded me that I also have one of these cases for a game. I remember them being sold in 2 packs and in clear and a weird green. Did anyone ever use these extensively? And why didn't Nintendo give us plastic covers like they did for NES and SNES games??

I was actually thinking about stocking some cases that can be used for N64, SNES, Genesis, etc....

Not really certain what you guys are getting at, but, again, the universal game case comes to the rescue.

Fits Genesis, SNES, N64, Atari, many others... Even the big ol' NES, with a little modding.

Yup -- those are the ones.
I was considering buying them in bulk, but I don't know if I'd be able to make enough profit to make it worth my time.

I'd say its worth a gamble. Remembering that the only retailer, as far as I've found is media-shelving. They are ok -- but you can only buy the cases in huge numbers, shipping is pretty outrageous, and their website doesn't really engender customer love. And, of course, if you target the people at the coverproject, you have a built in audience -- who likewise -- are stuck with mediashelving.

These are what I'm talking about. I am totally down with the universal plastic cases and all, but this is more of a nostalgic question. I'm basically just wondering why Nintendo cheaped out with their N64 carts compared to giving us a sleeve with the NES carts and a small plastic cover with SNES carts? I would say there's no clear cut answer but economics, but I was wondering if anyone else had a different reason? :D

Hi everyone!

I know, I know, I'm digging up an old topic but I just bought a N64 with unboxed cartbridges and I need cases like these ones!

I saw RacketBOY store has some in stock but I'm not sure if the ones they are solding have full sleeves (my english is bad)?

Could you confirm, there are full sleeves cases, please? :?

What do you mean by "full sleeves"?

Thanks for your... question!
I realize that my post wasn't obvious...

I mean, can I put any covers (downloaded fron thecoverproject) around the cases that racketboy is selling right now?
Are there sleeves on those boxes?
"Full sleeve" is when you have that plastic you can put the cover in, "no sleeve" is just see thru plastic.
The description on the racketboy store isn't clear enough to me!
