Yeah, I crimped the lug on the end of my power wire, cut off one side (the dotted pink line), then pushed it in the second spot there. That connector has pinch slots that are part of the power board and pins that slide in from the mobo underneath. So you should be able to fit the leg of the lug in there snugly, but it will be easily removable if you ever need to do any repairs on the Saturn or move the mod chip into another system.

Hobie-wan wrote:I agree with Skate, looks like you're on easy street for a modchip with an A to B solder, power wire, plug and go.

*edit

To make my chip nice and modular, I put a spade lug on the power with one one leg cut off so I could push that in the slot between the pin and clamp for power.

This may be a dumb question, but do you know where I could buy some of these? I'm assuming a hardware store would have them.

Yeah, a hardware store should probably have some, even Radio Shack will probably still have them in a packets of 10 or something. Just be sure to get small ones. The one I used is about a 1/4" wide spade.

Cool. I'll definitely use your method when I install my replacement mod chip this weekend.
