halloween music playlist suggestions?

okay, I understand the love of Danzig, but if you never give Michale Graves a chance, you're missing out. The lyrical imagery is impressive and totally what I was looking for in a halloween playlist. As someone who owns the Misfits catalog in full, Danzig and Graves, I feel like it's childish to be all "graves isn't misfits..."

so - lots of death metal/black metal suggestions. Any of them directly dealing with halloween or imagery that illustrates a halloween setting?

As for the organ music, I have some really great lp's from 70's digital organ players doing all the old bach standards, but then going nuts with effects and synth. It's pretty crazy.

Syd Barrett- Crazy as hell, literally. I don't know that it would be all that scary...

Rob Zombie - Hell Billy deluxe has a lot of throwback tracks that really bring up classic era horror films. Good call. You guys might be interested in his "Rob Zombie presents: The Words and Music of Frankenstein." He really has nothing to do with it, other than producing/releasing it.

i did give graves a chance, i actually first heard the misfits with graves, then found out that they had a old and better singer haha

graves misfits is super cheesey, were as to danzig misfits is less cheesey

man, graves is about as misfits as blaze bayley is iron maiden. you know this. it's cool if you like it but it's just not the same, you have to at least realize that. whether or not that's a good or bad thing is up to the listener. me personally i can't stand graves.

Also, Halloween II is pretty sloppy. Many of the words are made up and aren't spoken that differently.

I'll take Danzig over Graves any day. There's still a place for both when Danzig decides to quit. Graves without the misfits is awful though. I'll give you that.

You know, fair enough. Graves totally changed the group and calling it the misfits with a completely different sound is wierd, but it was a completely different era. Jerry Only was behind a lot of it...
