Is there a RetroTrio ?

Post by noiseredux »

...there should be. Imagine one console to play NES, SNES and N64 carts.

there is. It's called Tristar 64. It's an add-on for the Nintendo 64 console.

Wow, I almost grabbed one of these guys back in the day to see what it was like.

EDIT: Is it just me or did all of the text and stuff on the board just shrink?

I use acidtech and a 4:3 monitor, so that's why I must have noticed what seems like a widescreen fix.

Board is the same for me, maybe you scrolled while holding down control?

I dont think the Tristar is cheap to get. Fairly uncommon, but they do popup from time to time. To be honest, Ive never really kept an eye on the prices.

pretty cool either way.

The project I have on the backburner is to get ONE of those GBA-Famicom adapters and try to house it in something that could fit into the Gameboy Player on my Cube.

There's something VERY appealing to me about the idea of having a single console to play original Gamecube, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, GBA, Famicom, and (with pin-adapter) NES games all without ROMs!
