I'm gonna guess Kangaroo for the Atari 400/800. The game looks like Kangaroo but I can't really place what system it is. The scoring interface is throwing me off, I've never seen that before.

Kangaroo was a vertical game that came out later with more advanced graphics and a different style of play. Though this doesn't even look like a screenshot. It looks more like a drawing of the screen from a manual or flyer.

It is a screenshot, and I used an emulator to get it.

Here's a hint (kind of): the game was released on a cartridge.

Glad to see that the first one is already stumping people!

I'm guessing it was a C64 game...

ok, more hints. Didn't think this would be so tough :).

Not a c64 game, but fits in the "other platforms" forum.

Released in 1984.

You played as the kangaroo and pushed those boxes into the floating heads to kill them.

There are other screenshots/write-ups about this game elsewhere on the web, and I know it has been mentioned here before.

I definately needed the hints, which I thought were great because it still took quite a bit of searching to confirm the game with the info you gave. If thats your idea of an easy one though then I'm scared to see whats next.
