Toolbox

Post by Rebz »

Hey guys I was wondering if a gamer had a toolbox what would every gamer have? Cotton swabs, rubbing alcohol, screwdrivers, gamebits, etc. Just curious to see what everybody thinks is essential for a gamer. Same question for a modder, probably the same stuff plus a soldering iron though.

In my basic game/computer tool box I have:
Boxer 30 piece toolset:

Boxer 100 bit set:

Black and Decker Power Driver:

Ryobi 70 piece screwdriver set - apparently it is sold out everywhere/discontinued:

Tempered Gamebits:
Sorry I cant remember the Ebay guys named. But they were the only tempered ones on the site a year ago. The two standard ones no triwing - those are in the Boxer 100 bit set.

Misc screwdrivers, jewelers pliers, swabs, alcohol, pocket knife/boxcutter, 4pack of AAs, and either Ill throw in a bottle of compressed air or Ill just bring the compressor. I need one of those refillable bottles... I should mention this is all carried in an awesome Superfamicom carrying case I bought from hashiriya:

Now if something is really fubar or I need more power Ive got bigger toys for that. But this is the standard layout, and yes things change in it, but that first boxer kit has been a lifesaver for the past five years (fair warning though the bits are not tempered so go easy on them).

As for a soldering iron, the one I have is rubbish and i am rubbish at using it. And yes I have thought that those two might be connected.

I got my gamebits from The Electric Quarter. They don't say tempered, but they are higher quality than all others I've seen. I've had mine for years and haven't had any issues with grinding them down.
