Arcade Masters Incorporated Nintendo Expansion Module ?

Post by Reverend »

I dug this thing up from my friend's basement. The same place where I found the test/prototype Aigina's Prophecy for the NES. I'm hoping this is another gem, but I can't be sure. According to the google, this thing doesn't exist. Any idea what is is or what it's worth?

Interesting. I wonder if there are any FCC or other information on the board inside which would help solve the mystery?

I'm guessing that it somehow expands your module. Sort of like viagra for the nes.

It appears to connect 2 NES systems together for whatever reason (that involves 2 players). It also appears to be arcade related...

To an nes collector my guess is it would be worth a few bones...considering I have NO idea what it is I would probly only give you 20$ for it lol.

i have no idea what it is, but i'd like to know if anyone finds out for sure. It would be great if you could network some nes games.

No, from what you are showing it doesn't look like it could network two NES systems together. Are there any other ports on the thing that you did not include pictures of?

From what you have shown, it looks like something to connect the NES to some sort of external interface for the controller inputs and video/audio outs. I guess possibly it was part of some sort of in-store display system to showcase the NES.
Systems: TI-99/4a, Commodore Vic-20, Atari 2600, NES, SMS, GB, Neo Geo MVS (Big Red 4-slot), Genesis, SNES, 3DO, PS1, N64, DC, PS2, GBA, GCN, NDSi, Wii

Maybe it's a prototype for a product never released.

I think it connects 2 NES systems by their controller ports, but I don't know.

And not even my friend knows how that stuff got in his basement...
