What unique gameplay sequences have you played that haven't been copied / ripped off in any other game to date?
I think Shadow of Colossus as a whole is a unique experience. I think it can be improved but I don't know if anyone will ever attempt to.
Earthworm Jim 2 has a few of them. Puppy Love and Lorenzen's Soil levels come to mind.
Perhaps this has been done in other games but I really liked the level in No One Lives Forever where you've jumped out of an airplane and are in freefall and you're trying to catch a guy below you so you can steal his parachute but at the same time shooting at skydiving enemies.

Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit on PS2 has gameplay I've never seen duplicated.

I would throw up GTA: San Andreas, if only because I don't know of any other game that let me do drive-bys on a riding lawnmower.

Haven't really made it to the action parts, I've only played it to the part of leaving the diner. Haven't had the time to really get into it yet, but so far, so good.Ack wrote:

Ah, it's definitely an interesting experience with some memorable moments. Take your time and enjoy it. But you'll understand what I mean when you get there.

Ack's right. The beginning of the game is definitely the best part. So far it is like nothing I've played before. Only problem is that it's in the same ilk of so many games where you can't get much done in a 30 minute sitting, and what you do get done, you often forget. I have the same problem with KOTOR2. I swear it's like I have to set aside three hours to get anywhere in that game.
This will be a game where I put all my other consoles away, and just dedicate my gaming time to it.

Probably Loom but I'm not sure how good the sound mechanics were as I haven't payed it. Also Knights in the Knightmare AFAIK.

Boxlife on DSiware is pretty original. Can't think of many other games where working at a box factory is the only objective. It's also quite fun. I also found the segment in NoLF to be very unique, especially in its time.
Note: You might want to start working up some calluses on your fingers; you will need it for the ending of Indigo Prophecy...
