Thanks! Might finally get an AC game now that it controls like it should be. I hope they get Mechwarrior 5 right btw. It's been a long wait.MrPopo wrote:I've only played 4 and For Answer, but yes, those games do use dual stick. Left stick is forward/back/strafe and right stick is turn/tilt. There's also a pretty good level of lock-on, so it doesn't feel like an FPS (good in my book, as FPS is mouse+keyboard).Pulsar_t wrote:I simply dislike Scribblenauts' control scheme.dlmvii wrote:I know it's jumping the gun a bit, but I'll say Scribblenauts. Awesome game, but if you are trying to move a small object, and you touch just outside of it on accident, you will probably die from moving to there.
Prototype offers WAY too many moves that aren't easy to pull off.
I wanted to get into the Armored Core series but the fact that the robot is controlled by a single axis put me off. Haven't they implemented dual stick control in later sequels?
Great games that you wish had better controls...

Turok 2 on the N64. I have always wanted to play it with a modern dual stick setup. The multiplayer would be awesome. I still think frag tag is one of the best fps multiplayer game modes ever. Anybody else remember frag tag?

I really wish the Metroid prime trilogy was Classic controller compatible.

I always thought the controls on Resident Evil games added to their scariness. You feel extra helpless because your character has no speed or grace, which makes approaching enemies feel like an actual threat.

Same for Eternal Darkness

Yeah, I know. It's not that I don't like the Wii (only current Gen I have), it's just that I find myself always using the not-Wiimote whenever possible. I just don't like the whole waggle thing.Luke wrote:Blasphemy!

Me too, except for RE4.

piggybacking off that image - I choose Marvel Ultimate Alliance for the Wii. That game should have been classic controller compatible, no waggle necessary for Wolverine.Dylan wrote:

Oh, well I only played RE4 on Wii and GameCube and the controlling is perfect on them. left thumbstick is for forward and back.Weekend_Warrior wrote:I'm going to actually say the opposite. I think all the RE games should be re-released with RE4/5 controls.
Typically, with first-person or third-person shooters, the left thumbstick is used to move forward and back while the right thumbstick is used to turn 360 degrees. On RE4, the Left thumbstick was used for all movement and I didn't like it very much. I also didn't like that you have to hold a button while pressing the thumbstick up in order to run.
