Sony's Most Iconic Game Franchises?

Post by shadobeni »

We all know Nintendo and Sega have their signature franchises but what about Sony? What are their most well known or best game franchises that they themselves developed?

Their most prominent game franchise would really have to be the Playstations themselves. Sega and Nintendo are video companies, while Sony is an electronics company.

What about Ridge Racer or Gran Turismo? Have any of those games been on non-Sony consoles?

Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, Twisted Metal, Jak, and that's all that I can think of. The real problem is that a lot of the older series were simply run into the ground mercilessly.

However, I think we can all agree that Sony's best game will always be Bram Stoker's Dracula.

I look at that game sitting on my shelf, and I hate it and love it all at the same time.

And out of curiosity, what exactly happaned to Crash bandicoot and spyro. I know naughty dog made the first three Crash games, and Insomniac the first three ( i think...) Spyro games and then they went to other consoles. And turned into garbage in the process.
