Half.com
Half.com
Hey guys, do any of you buy games regularly on Half.com? There's a game I'm interested in, but the lack of pictures to accompany all copies really bug me. Still, considering it's going for about half of what eBay sellers want, it is pretty tempting...
Re: Half.com
I've never had a problem, I usually buy my college textbooks there, and games occasionally...but you do have to go by the description alone...maybe the seller will send you pictures if you ask? Half is owned by ebay also, so you have the same protection.
Re: Half.com
Used to like 8 years ago or something.
Now I stick to Amazon and eBay -- mostly Amazon actually.

Re: Half.com
I use Half a decent amount for games, it's good. Never had a problem and truth be told everytime I bought from half, the games look better than most of the stuff I've gotten on ebay and had actually seen. So yeah, just make sure you read the description thoroughly.

Really? Because I'm looking for a copy of black label Silent Hill on the PS1 for cheap, and only Half.com seemed to have it for less than $30.
Re: Half.com
I personally stay away. Sellers never provide tracking numbers and almost always take forever to ship (site policy allows them to). Plus, I've so far only had luck about half the time with games being in the promised condition

Re: Half.com
From my experience, half.com is awesome! I bought 7 games once, all from different people. And they all fit the description included, one of them did not work, but the seller sent a second copy to see if that helped, it didn't. But I got my money back on that item!
Life is as good as your game!

Haha I always seem to have that problem with Ebay, not Half. I actually bought a complete mint Knuckles Chaotix off of Half not to long ago, just make sure you read the description well.equalsign wrote:I personally stay away. Re: Half.com
I'm a description whore. Three out of the six times I've purchased something from there the description has said things to the tune of "Like new, excellent" that turned out to be lies. Scuffed to hell boxes, bent manuals, Blockbuster stickers, and scratched up discs are by no means the signs of a "Like new" game dammit!KholdStare wrote:Haha I always seem to have that problem with Ebay, not Half.
