Sega CD problems.

I recently bought a Sega Genesis with a Sega CD for $40. The Genesis works fine, but when I try to use the Sega CD, the disc doesn't turn. The game doesn't start up, no signs of life appear to come out of the Sega CD. I have BOTH the Genesis and the Sega CD plugged into their own power source, and the Genesis plugged into the TV. I'm not sure what the model number is. Its the kind that slides into the side of the Sega CD.

Is it busted, or am I doing something wrong?...

what model is it?

typically there is a fuse that blows, if you replace it it will most likely work

there is another thread here that talks about this issue and it ended up being the fuse
