Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

i seriously doubt that disney will do anything to fuck anything up. they already own a bunch of companys as it is. and why would they tamper with something that already has an established, and large fan base with risks of losing said fan base? they wouldn't. disney knows how to do business. and its just marvel, there are better comics out there.
Oh, come on, don't leave your uncle T-Bag hangin'!

I wonder what will become of the marvel themed roller coasters at Paramount theme parks.

It's cool that Pixar is already talking about a Marvel based themed movie. A Pixar Power Pack movie would be pretty friggin sweet.

actually
I think it is amazing that you can get $4 billion for drawing comics
that doesn't take more than 5 hours a day maybe and about zero cost.

PAX got their own convention.

Seems that comics are good business

I think you nailed it. Disney sees marvel making money on movies and wants that. I don't think they are going to mess around with the comics at all.

is.... this trolling? i can't tell.

dude. If it isn't trolling, you have no idea what goes into making comic books, or who is actually getting that 4 billion. Not trying to be a dick... just sayin.

Not just producing comics, it's the owning the rights to the characters. Comics only make a percentage of marvel's bank roll. Think about all the licensing rights Marvel owns. You can buy a Spider-man toilet seat cover for christ sake.

I can't imagine Disney tampering with much. But hey I'm all for a Spider Man and X Men worlds in Kingdom Hearts. That would pretty sick!

Ditto.

And quite frankly, I can't take any side, cuz I see why people would hate and love this.

But wait... most of the Disney-based comics are made by Gemstone. Does that mean that Mickey Mouse and his ilk are jumping onto the Marvel ship?

And for shame for not mentioning properties that are owned by Disney but aren't "Mickey Mouse"-Disney. I mean, what about:

* Alias/Punisher crossover?
* Alias/Nick Fury crossover?
* Reservoir Dogs/Punisher crossover?
* Bluntman & Chronic Go Marvel? (most of the View Askewniverse films are owned by Miramax, and by that extension Disney)
* Kill Bill prequel with... perhaps not. That's going too far.
* Scream sequel with some non-hero Marvel characters (MJ Watson?)
* Crow vs Kingpin (the film series is owned by Disney by way of Miramax, but can they get the rights due to it being a comic franchise?)
* something with Pulp Fiction
* something with Pirates of the Caribbean

And I know that it's owned by Warner Bros, but... Natural Born Killers/Marvel crossover. Electra and Punisher team up for the first time (AFAIK) to stop Mickey and Mallory Knox... for good.

nice. now disney can help marvel draw women with clothes on .

and on a more serious comment, they can help marvel market them worldwide. When I told my friends, for us to go see Ironman they were like "wtf is that".

and the thing is, even I didn't know the basic story
