Is this a good deal for original XBOX?

A friend at work was asking me where he should sell his XBOX, and I said sell it to me!

I offered to buy the system, all cables, 1 wired controller, 3 wireless controllers, and ~10 games for $75. I'm not sure what most of the games are, beyond a Tony Hawk game. Barely used.

Good deal?

Definitely. Used Xbox consoles alone sell for around $35 - $50. You're getting a pretty good deal.

The original Xbox is one of the most the underrated consoles in my opinion. It often gets called a poor man's PC, but it has a ton of great (and exclusive) games.

I'd say it is a fair deal... but it all depends how often you are going to play it of course! A good deal for one person could be a crap deal for another.... but monetarily it's sound.

As long as all the games are not sports games.
Even so there were some good sports games

If the games are not worth it, you may do better via ebay / craigslist / goodwill etc. But of course xbox1 is very underrated, modding it, adding bigger HDD etc can make for a very valuable and time worthy system. I'm in the process of ripping my games to the HDD because my DVD drive is on the fritz. Also, bonus points if the drive is a samsung, there were 3 manufacturers I believe, samsung being the best, Thompson (the one I have) being the worst. Of course head over to xbox-scene for everything you would need to know.

Depends on the games. For $75 you might be able to find a nice boxed Xbox with all the paperwork, plus a few good games.. elsewhere
