Personal Ghost Stories

Post by winds »

Alright you guys got me in the mood from this thread (http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 15&t=15295)! Let's tell some ghost stories :D
Just to set the record, I don't believe in ghosts, but I love ghost stories.

Anyways, this didn't happen to me but instead a friend of mine while he was living in Japan. Supposedly Japan is home to a few "supposed" haunted places. One of them being a vacant, broken down old hospital not far outside Tokyo. My friend was with a group of people and one of them knew about this place, so they decided to go on an adventure and visit this haunted hospital. When they got there they could see right away why it was labeled as a haunted place. It was the perfect setting for a horror movie. A huge wall surrounding a graveyard that led up to a very shady looking hospital (why there is a graveyard infront of a hospital, i'll never figure out). The hospital itself had no outside walls anymore, you could see right into the rooms and the other side from the road. I'm not sure how many floors there were but I seem to remember about 6 or 7 floors. My friends group climbed the wall and into the graveyard and dared each other to individually go into the hospital, trek to the top floor, and wave down to the group to show that they made it successfully without pissing their pants, and then come back down while the next person goes.
The first guy went in and within about 10 or so minutes made it to the top floor. The group could see him clearly waving at them and he came back down without incident. They asked him if he saw anything cool or scary and he told them the atmosphere is creepy but otherwise its totally empty. The second guy went in and they watched him go from floor to floor climbing up the top going through the desolate rooms. He made it to the top and started to wave at the group below. They looked up at him waving but noticed something on the floor beneath him.... a second person waving at them. It was night and they couldn't make out any features of the second person, it was just a complete dark figure mimicking the guy above. They were watching both the first and second guy the entire time and could see right through into all the rooms and there was no one there before. They don't know where this person came from or how they got there. They yelled at the friend to RUN back down as fast as he could and they took off jumping the wall and leaving him behind LOL.
The guy couldn't hear them but after he saw them running he didn't hesitate and took off down all the floors to the bottom and joined up with them.
The guy said on his way down he didn't see anyone but could hear footsteps echoing other than his.
I'm not the greatest story teller but when my buddy told me that story, I was scared shitless the rest of the night haha.

I'm sure some of you have some stories of your own similar to this! Let's hear em :D

When I was a little kid, my brother, some friends, and I decided that we didn't want to go to school in the morning and were going to spend the night in the woods. We were having fun until around 7:00/8:00 at night, when my friend tapped me on the shoulder and made me turn around. I wasn't wearing my glasses for whatever reason, but there was a man standing there, that's for sure. We freaked out and my friend chucked a baseball at the guy, and he didn't react at all. He was just standing there smiling, and that's when we ran inside.

That's the closest thing I've ever had to a ghost encounter. :U

When I was younger I had a plastic Kiss guitar complete with strings and such. For like a week straight every morning I would wakeup and the sticker on the front of the guitar would be ripped where there were holes in the plastic underneath.
Back then I swore there was a ghost rocking out and ruining my guitar while I slept.

Yup... thats it for me. My only ghost story - exciting huh.

I've seen the same vague face in the mirror a couple of times. Probably cause I'm a bit crazy though...

I've also heard voices at the age of 5. Also probably because I'm crazy.

An unmentionable amount of occurrences where I'm in a dark room, and have this horrible, gripping feeling in my gut that says I'm being watched...

I was out camping in the woods by myself. I had been hiking mountain trails all day. I was extremely sore so as soon as I lit a fire I stripped naked and began applying aloe all over my body. I gently fried my beans over the fire while warming my aching muscles. Suddenly I heard some bushes rustling, but there wasn't any wind. I thought it was a squirrel, but I had a strange feeling of being watched. I went into tent and got my flashlight. I shined it on the bushes but didn't see anything. Suddenly I felt a quick breeze blow across my body, the hair on my scrotum stood on end. I turned around and saw a foggy blue figure hovering in front of the fire. It gave me a devious look. As I inspected it closer I realized it was the ghost of a man. His muscles were well defined, but not overworked. His ghostly hair blew back, shimmering from the light of the fire. He hovered towards me, his transluscent nipples hard. He pulled me in and thrusted his

Sorry I don't have any stories.

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and my bed is soaked with urine. I have no clue how it got there... just kidding. I love ghost stories and I think, whether or not you believe in ghosts, they can be so much fun. I remember my friend and I had a couple girls over. They were friends, but definitely the type to scare easily. We were reading some stories from the book Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark and we each took turns. When it got to be my turn I started reading as normal and when I got to a certain part I just closed the book. Keep in mind that it was like 3 am and we had all the lights out (we lived in Southern NJ so there is not a lot of light pollution so it was DARK) so this, alone, was enough to freak everyone out. I said that I didn't want to do it anymore and walked into the kitchen for a beer or something. The girls, and my friend got kind of upset and followed me. I managed to wink at my friend so that he knew I was joking and would play along. When we sat back down in the dark he egged me on to finish the story. So I opened the book and continued from where I left off. Instead of reading what the book actually said, I changed it so that it vaguely represented my life, where I lived, etc. I didn't make it obvious, but let their minds do the associating for me. By the end they were so freaked out and the one girl started crying. Then, I told them it was a joke and they beat the shit out of me... girl style, though, so just a lot of slapping and kicking.

Haha I just remembered another time when me and my wife were driving passed the old, abandoned Byberry Asylum in NE Philadelphia where I lived at the time. We had just started dating and I knew she was TERRIFIED of ghosts and stuff. She doesn't believe in them, but they still freak her out. We were stopped at a light on a side street where there were no other cars around and it was very quiet. The asylum was to our right, crumbling and completely dark and I started joking around about spooky stuff. Then I pretended to look up at one of the windows on the top floor. She didn't believe me, of course, but I persisted. It got very very quiet as she finally turned and looked up at the black windows. A couple of seconds later I screamed and grabbed her shoulders. Also resulted in an ass beating, as well as threats of a breakup.

I just remembered another story. This one is real (maybe) and happened to my friend years ago. He was still in high school in Cinnaminson, NJ and was staying late (not too late like 8-9 pm) one night with other students and teachers for play practice or something. Close to when it was time to leave, one of the teachers came in and said they had to stay inside for a little while and that he had already called the parents who were aware of the situation. Apparently the police called and said there was a wild animal sited in the area. So of course the first thing all of the students (and some teachers) did was go to the windows to see if they could see something. No one saw anything, of course, but they all ended up at the back door of the school that leads to the parking lot where all the school buses are parked at night. There is a reinforced window in the door and they were all looking out when they noticed one of the buses doors was open and there appeared to be something moving around inside. They strained to see, but could only tell that it was definitely standing upright, was pretty short (maybe like 3-4 feet tall), and was moving back and forth in the aisles. After a couple of minutes the "thing" came to the door of the bus and, even though it was pretty dark, everyone kind of got a look at this 3 feet high creature that seemed to be a mix between a platypus and a short person. It had a somewhat human-like lower, and the feet looked to be very small and webbed (but still distinctly human-like). The upper body was also small and the creature had a long, wide bill or nose and a round and bald head. From what I remember, it was hairless or featherless, but I think it was too dark to see any more detail then that. After a minute or so it was gone. Being kids (and the younger, fun teachers) opened the back door to look outside. There were steps leading down to the lot and there were footprints in the snow that seemed to match the human-like, but webbed feet the thing had. They were given the clear to leave after a little while longer and that was the end of the story.

I know it sounds like the Penguin from the Batman franchise was running around (indeed that is what I always picture), but this story freaks me out for some reason. Unlike all the ghost stories and the like, I felt like this was a story that could easily be true as my friend lived on the outskirts of the Pine Barrens. I was raised, living in Southern NJ, on stories of the Jersey Devil and used to be quite afraid as a youth. I did not think this thing could be the Jersey Devil, and of course I have no clue what was truth or what was over-dramatized because of the intense moment, but I can't help wondering what weirdo species there are in desolate, thick, uninhabited, and unexplored places like the Pine Barrens. Most places in the world have been completely explored, but the Pine Barrens are one of those places that has been left pretty untouched. The soil sucks there because of all the sand and the forest is incredibly thick and unmanageable in most areas so the population has not spread into it. There are always the backwards and creepy Pinies, also, who live in rundown shacks without electricity and who are rumored to be inbred and mutated. Could have been a Pinie running around that night, who knows. I should mention that I am not really afraid of the Jersey Devil anymore and am more interested in the possibility that there are undiscovered animals out there (other than the millions of new fungi that are discovered everyday) and my friends and I were actually trying to rent a cabin in the Pine Barrens a few years ago to sit around and scare the crap out of ourselves. Ultimately, a lack of money prevented this and we have all since gone our separate ways.

I got a ton of ghost stories, I believe in ghosts myself, but I can't tell if these were true or not.

I heard from my friends that at one time they were at a far away sort of a cottage thing and the 3 of them were walking at dusk, they said they saw a gigantic figure of a human with unclear details he was like black shadow and was heading towards them. They say he was not walking he was like floating towards them in high speed, the turned and ran like crazy back to the cottage and stood close together each holding a rifle(not sure what would a rifle do to a ghost). I know it sounds a big lie and crazy thing to say, except that I know them too well and never heard of them lying before. As a matter of fact one of them is very logical, you have to prove something to him before he believes it, he is very anti-supernatural. I believe them , but won't blame you if you don't.

I am not sure if this is a ghost, but it is weird, true, and funny. A friend of mine had a 95 lincoln, and where I am there is kind of a deserted area close by. He used to play 2pac, but whenever he takes the turn to that deserted area(for cruising around) the lights start to flash in his car on/off. If he gets out of that area the car goes back to normal. It will only happen when playing 2pac or a particular song for him I forgot. But this is true cause more than one guy would ride the car and go to that area and see it for himself. So it is a tested thing not it happened once. Hard to believe but true...

In my region people during the winter would install tents in far away areas, like camping season you can say, any how ghost stories tend to be popular at that time. 2 out of 3 friends(not mine) decided to play a prank on their single friend. As he was sitting alone in the tent, they wore a full women's veil and they entered the tent , sat without talking, and left after a while. Of course you can imagine how their friend was stunned in fear being all alone in a deserted area only to find two strange women dressed in black entering his tent. After having a laugh at him and told him it was just a prank, he asked them "So who was your third?!"

This is true as far as I know.
I think it was in Saudia Arabia when a few friends decided to play a bad prank. They decided to scare their friend . The prank was to bury one of their friends in the ground and cover his head with a pot, and when the victim picks the pot up he will find a human head(damn!). So they figured everything out, and decided to act as if they were cooking(I think) and will ask the victim to bring the forgotten pot off the ground. So when they asked him to do so, he lifted the pot. He was so scared he lost his sanity, and as for the buried guy he lost his life due to lack of oxygen or the pot falling on his head cracking it, I forgot.

I hate pranks personally. But I got a lot more stories if you are willing to listen.
