Do you mind posting links or citing sources with proof of these ghosts?
On the show Ghost Hunters, they try to DISPROVE a haunting, and they use millions of dollars worth of pro equipment to do so, if they get EVPs, video footage, ect that they can't explain, they have to declare it haunted or else it would be a lie.
...What? That sounds really retarded. Why would you disprove a haunting (assuming it's real) when it's much more profitable to prove it and exploit the hell out of it?
For real. EVP (otherwise known as 'people hearing patterns in noise'), orbs (otherwise known as 'image artifacts'), and other so-called 'proofs' of ghosts (or really any supernatural phenomenon) are pretty silly. If things were this cut and dry, you'd think James Randi would be out his million dollars by now.

Before close-minded debate here's a video:

Given that the definiton of Ghost includes several ideas taht go against the law of physics I would need very string evidence that points out that such laws don't exist.

The problem here is that the arguments against any kind of Paranormal activity are so commonplace and general knoweldge that is easy to find laughable this board. Not because it's not good to test if something is true or false but you have no reasons to think it may be true and thus you are on your way to a path of deception, self-biased thinking and loss of time.

Excellent video! I wish everyone was open minded enough to understand it.

I too would like to know if there will be a unicorn hunting subforum.

In all seriousness, ghosts are bullshit. People are way too paranoid.

Yikes you guys went at this guy. My wife and I agree with most of you that we don't NOT believe in paranormal stuff... what that horrible grammar means is that we are open minded to the possibility, but so far no one has proven it to us. We used to watch Ghosthunters all the time because the stuff was interesting - now nothing new happens so it is not as fun. We didn't watch it because we believed in ghosts or thought the show would prove anything to us. I do understand, however, why they attempt to disprove hauntings. Because so many people out there take any slightly strange thing to mean a place is haunted. Orbs for instance. Even if orbs are not just flecks of dust reacting weird when photographed, most paranormal investigators think they are nothing paranormal, but rather just bits of energy that have nothing to do with ghosts. So many people see orbs and say GHOSTS! The guys on Ghosthunters dismiss them immediately. So with the tactics that the Ghosthunter guys use, they enter a place, try to find a logical explanation for anything weird, and only when they cannot find a logical explanation do they say it is likely to be paranormal. Not ghosts, not haunting, just paranormal - not normal. That was one of the most annoying things is that these guys were so good at debunking supposed paranormal activity that every episode ended with a place not being haunted. Then suddenly in the later seasons every place WAS haunted, which makes me feel that sci-fi (or syfy is it now?) got on them about not delivering. Now the show is not really credible anymore, but the old way would have been too boring so I guess it was doomed to be a novelty.

But that is how this show made money at first, it was a different angle and I was impressed that these guys didn't just jump to conclusions and make silly claims at every little creak in the floorboards. They still didn't prove or unprove anything in my opinion, but I didn't expect them to.

The best part was when we were leaving, a group of girls, in their teens, asked us if we saw any ghosts. I replied, "I don't believe in them, but several times I felt something breathing on my neck or brushing against my arms". Freaked them right the hell out.
Was it in ohio?
Jrecee, are you talking about Mansfield Reformatory in Ohio? Where they shot the Shawshank Redemption?

Funny enough, I actually did see a ghost there. Most amazing thing I ever seen in my life and so far the only thing I've ever seen when it comes to paranormal stuff.

Isn't there a DSi game coming out that'll let you do ghost hunting?
