Before we start, I don't mean the amount of money you make (though money does help you buy more games). I mean how much spare time it gives you or amount of bus time you have to play your gameboy. I will begin:
I work for a local pizza place in Kansas City. I deliver pizza every saturday. Whenever, I see a garage sale I stop to see what they got. Last saturday I got a Game Gear with case, magnifier, battery pack (crapped out), ac adapter, and 2 games, all for $5. It was a slow day so I ended up playing Sonci 3 while I waited for the pies to come out of the oven.
How does your job help or hinder your retro gaming?

They never made a sonic 3 for gg.
Anyway, I work from home so I play games when I want to.

I work at a GameStop so occasionally I'll get a few amazing freebies from people that are trying to trade stuff in like PS1, N64 Saturn etc... that we no linger take in on trade, but there hasn't really been anything like that coming in lately.
Sigh, I'm still holdong out to see if I can get a free or cheap Jaguar with Tempest 2000....

You know that scene from Office Space? "In a week, I'd say I do 15 minutes of real work ....", that's me. Except right now, with summer time admissions I put in about 20 minutes of real honest work ... the rest of the time it's here, ebay, ect.

I work in a joke store part time (As Im at Uni fulltime) the only way it hinders me is I never get enough hours, thus enough money to buy retro stuff I want.

nope, there's absolutely zero overlap between tax advisory and retro gaming. which kind of makes me reconsider, i mean they DO say that you should do what you love.

I, too, work at a GameStop. Not too long ago, I had a woman try to trade in just the Gameboy Player Disc for the GameCube - which we no longer take. But it was exactly what I needed, because I lost my disc. Never thought the day would come.
I also bought an Xbox + Controller off of some guy for $25. Oh, happy days.

My job's just your standard 9-5, so I have all evening and all weekend to get my game on. Except when I'm oncall. Then I might get paged on the weekends which cuts into my game time.

No job, just school. :/
Though earlier this year I wrote some stuff for a gaming Website and got a free copy of Spectrobes 2 to review
But I traded it in at Eb for Jet Set Radio Future and all was good.

About an hour a day on the bus at the moment - it's made bearable by my sweet little GBA SP AGS-101, currently mostly being used for Advance Wars. Feels good to have already achieved something by the time you start work, even if it is conquering imaginary bits of land.
