The 360 is awesome. Add 12 million sales because I feel like it and it's clear to see the 360 is twice as awesome as the PS3 is. Fact.
It's easy to just pull figures out of your ass and state them as fact.
Unfortunately the PS3 doesn't have enough quality titles available for it to justify the price. That's the reason why it isn't selling well.
Enderfall you list these as the best titles for PS3. Yet half of them you've never played, since they aren't even out yet. Here, I'll demonstrate. The ones in bold aren't available yet.
Uncharted
Uncharted 2
Little Big Planet
MGS4
Demon Souls
White Knight Chronicles
FF14
Killzone 2
Resistance
Resistance 2
Infamous
Valkyria Chronicles
Buzz <-tenuous, I think you're clutching at straws here.
MLB The Show '09 <-A sports game? It's not even exclusive to the PS3.
Warhawk
God of War III
Heavenly Sword <- received average, at best reviews from most major publications. I played it and thought it was, pretty but extremely shallow and pointless.
Heavy Rain
MAG
Agent
So that's 9 games worth playing on the PS3 that are exclusive? That's pretty abysmal. Especially considering the performance the previous Playstation consoles had in their first two years. It seems the best games that are worth your time are the PSN titles, such as PixelJunk series, Calling All Cars, Wipeout HD, Stardust HD, Trials Of Topoq. It's not the best use of £300 of gaming equipment though is it?
I'm not saying the 360 is any better but as far as the sheer amount of quality games it has, and considering that if you were only to play multi platform games (which look identical to their PS3 counterparts, and in some cases, IE Skate, play and look much better on 360) it would make most sense to go for the cheapest console. You can buy two 360's for the price of one PS3. So even if your console does RRoD after three years you are
still in pocket.
To say that the PS3 is the better choice this generation is just blind consumerism. To show blind faith in a manufacturer because of 'brand loyalty' (especially one who has had a worse track record with build quality than Microsoft) is just obscene in this financial climate.
