Final Fight... seriously?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

What's the 8th stage? I don't remember the order. I remember that the end boss is pretty f'ing hard, though.

I think Final Fight is considered 6 stages, but the way it's setup, it feels like 2 stages to me. SO when it ended and the credits rolled I was like "No way?"

Its the stage where right off the bat you have several waves of the electric women show up in formation. Space Station is the name, I think.

And my favorite bumpersticker of all time stated:
Vote Mike Haggar, he will clean up the city

I dunno if it was for a real person or like those shirts that say "I voted for Senator Kelly." All I know is I was laughing for a long time after seeing that in rushhour.

I used Guy. I'll probably go back now and beat it with the other two since they have different characteristics.

Yeah, the game's easiest with Guy(in my opinion), followed closely by Haggar. Cody makes a distant third, probably because he just doesn't stand out in any way to me. Not in capabilities, and certainly not in personality.

Go play Haggar and see exactly why I voted him Mayor of Metro City.

OMG. I'm a fucking idiot. You guys are gonna laugh. Ready?

So I figured I'd mess around with FF again. I picked it up and went into the options menu. Only to realize that the previous owner of the cart had set it to VERY EASY. What's worse? They had saved each character at the final level of the game.

So I deleted all previous data and realized I had only played 1/6th of the game. Set to the easiest level.

I feel so stupid now. But I'm glad that I now have a nice long game to beat with all three characters!

LOL

But yeah, these games are short by definition. See also: Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Double Dragon, X-Men, TMNT. Think about fighting games, too, which are a similar deal in the fact that they were designed to suck your quarters. You can usually go through one in a single 20-30 minute sitting, but that's not really the point.
