What do you listen to?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

You can kind of get a sense of what I listen to based on the proportionate space it takes up in my CD collection. Here's a labeled picture to help you out. My favorite artists take up a lot of space, otherwise I try to sort by genre.

This is only about half of my collection though, so don't think you've got me totally figured out (though I do like this half best). Just about every genre has something I like, but I obviously like some genres and artists better than others.

Everyone likes RATM. Maybe not as much as they like Boston, but they still enjoy RATM.

Only the first three are in order. I'm a HUGE Metalllica fan, I've seen them live 3 times (1998, 2003, 2008)

1. Metallica
2. Metallica
3. Metallica
4. Megadeth (pre "Trust" though that's not a terrible album)
5. Pantera
6. Ozzy
7. Gov't Mule
8. Airbourne
9. Evans Blue
10. Authority Zero
11. Suicidal Tendencies
12. NOFX
13. The Offspring
14. Nonpoint
15. Soilwork
16. Children of Bodom
17. Lily Allen (shaddup... at least I'm honest)

The list could go on and on, I'm pretty much open to most types of music. If I like what I hear, I'll continue listening to it (see item 17... lol).

I'm so happy to see such a large Hard Rock/Metal community here.

I'm one of the unlucky few who live with people who are not open minded to music.

I'm a total Metal head since day 1. I have my weird phases, but I've always been into Metal.

Bands I really enjoy:

Akercocke, Amon Amarth, Black Sabbath, The Beatles, Behemoth, Braindance, Cannibal Corpse, Death, Dio, Gorgoroth, Heroes del Silencio, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Joy Division, London After Midnight, Lucybell, Marduk, Megadeth, Metallica, Opeth, Ozzy Osbourne, Pantera, Slayer, Venom, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth, Nile, The White Stripes, Meshuggah, Pantheist, Candlemass, and much more.

I'm into the whole 80's hair metal scene too:
Cinderella, Scorpions, Motley Crue, Skid Row, Dokken, etc...
I'm back!

it took me a long time to get to the last page here because i've never heard of a lot of the bands you guys have listed, but thanks for all new music...there were some pretty random ass bands/genres in there..... i mainly listen to hip hop stuff though like aesop rock, eyedea and abilities, cage, and just stuff like that, very open minded when it comes to music but i just can't get into country no matter how many times i try
