that is a problem yes I agree but not always maybe with cars it can be but with electronics usually not. And I know I'd rather (assuming I could afford it) use a more expensive but healthier (for us and the environment) car or device.

Smart phones will continue to become more popular also and perhaps to some extent replace even our laptops/netbooks I know I'm going to pick up a new tmobile phone running googles software soon (I'd get an iphone but 70 a month is nuts)

Kinda going in a different direction, but I really like the idea of Amazon's Kindle even though the price is atrocious ($400 I think). I feel that someday there will be a widespread ebook reader, and I'd really like to see one that has a great deal of usability along with a great selection of titles and a greatly lower price ($150-200 would be my real desire, but less is always better).

Well, the ebook market is expanding. Barnes & Nobles is opening some sort of ebook store selling digitial books and content that can be used on ebook readers (though not Kindle or Sony's ebook reader) and on iphones. The compatibility with Iphones and blackberry's seems great because there is already a large market for it (lots of iphones and other phones sold) and cost wise people may gravitate towards barnes and nobles services because they have already purchased a device that can utilize the services.

I can it doing well mostly because of Apple's current power, but I think the Kindle will remain more functional and practice for actual reading and battery life purposes. I know they've already made a hardware revision for Kindle or it will be releasing soon anyways.


And about the comments of green being more expensive, maybe, but netbooks are rather cheap and affordable though the green may be more of a side-effect.

That doesn't make sense, though. When I go across the street for lunch I get accosted by the environmental people. How do they have the time on their hands to ask if I have time for the environment? Don't they have jobs? And fuck no, I don't have time for the environment. I'm too busy throwing away my recyclables because I can't be bothered to separate out my refuse.
