The Matrix
Pretty enjoyable, albeit a bit hard to follow.

It's probably going to turn out like Dragon Ball or that Chun Li movie...my friend basically told me the same thing. I'm just curious as to how the Colossi will look though.Mozgus wrote:There's not a chance in hell. Be realistic or be disappointed. Your choice. The people behind it don't have the ability. The only way SOTC could work as a movie is if it were 100% void of dialog, including the deity that talks to you. It would also need the entire sound track kept intact and unfucked, just like how the Silent Hill movie handled things. Beyond that, it would need a complete overhaul in the direction of scenes. The story needs to remain, but the way it's filmed can't be anything like watching a playthrough of the game. It would need a huge amount of clever camera angles and cuts.KholdStare wrote:I'm going to see Transformers Friday. it's certainly getting mixed reviews. I hear it's awesome then I hear it's the worst piece of crap ever. Can't wait to see for myself. But one movie I REALLY can't wait for is.....*drum roll* SHADOW OF THE FUCKING COLOSSUS!!![]()
. If they do this right then it could possibly be the greatest movie EVER.
They just don't have the skill, man. They simply bought the rights to a game that has a strong following, and they know nothing about it. Its just a name to them.

If this is the direction they go for.I'll watch it.

Seems like Universal has bought the rights to make an Asteroids movie.

Too bad Penny Arcade already called the "abstract game gets turned into a movie" thing years ago:

Transformers 2. I loved it.
They also played the "New Moon" trailer. I admit that the Twilight series is pretty interesting, but I absolutely HATE the fangirls. Luckily, none of those demonic creatures saw the trailer, though I desperate wanted to scream at them and tell them to shut the fuck up.
Anyone hear of the live-action Blood: The Last Vampire movie being released on the 10th?

I wasn't calling you anything of the sort. The rest of my post agreed that it was spoiled for you by the typical "show all the good stuff in the trailers" stuff that goes on. Particularly so for a film like this that holds most of its humour in surprise/randomness.dsheinem wrote:I must have been either too American and/or too stupid to catch all that subtle and quick-witted humour!please.
No offence was intended to anyone (perhaps some to the SNL team, but certainly not you).

The Mask: silly and enjoyable
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
Just got "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", the original, in the mail. SO LOVIN NETFLIX NOW! I'm gonna (hopefully) watch it tonight after the season premiere of Degrassi.
