SEGA CD.

Post by KholdStare »

Hey, I was wondering, does anyone know where I can get a cheap Sega CD? Every time I browse Ebay I get ridiculous prices, also, what are some good games for the Sega CD? Thanks.

Sega CD's are pretty universal as being about 40 bucks for model two and the model one's go a bit higher. There are a lot of good solid games for the Sega CD. Lunar the silver star, Lunar eternal blue, Vay, Popful Mail, Final Fight cd, Keio Flying Squadron, Lords of thunder, Snatcher, The Secret of Monkey Island, Willy Beamish, Dune, Shining Force CD, Sonic cd. The nice thing with the CD is that there is no copy protection so you can burn whatever you game you like. However I own originals for all these except Snatcher and Keio (200 bucks each yuck)for collection purposes I play using backups.

Final Fight CD is the best version has two player and allows you to select between Haggar Cody and Guy VS the snes edition witch was one player and only Cody and Guy. I have seen them on the forums here as well as on Ebay. They seem to be getting harder and harder to find so prices may have gone up. With my recent Sega CDX purchase I may be selling my model 2 backup ( I keep two Saturns and CD's at all times).

About $40-50 dollars for a model 2 SCD.

Some good games are:

Sonic CD
Earthworm Jim
NBA Jam
Lunar
Terminator
Snatcher
Silpheed.
MegaRace

Those would be my top games to start out with.

Final Fight CD is awesome because of how complete it is versus the SNES ports. There's also Mortal Kombat (1) on Sega CD which is one of the best console versions out there.
