I've read the reviews and they all are in favor of the game, but I want to hear it from a 'real gamer' here on racketboy. The game won't be released in Japan any time soon, but I can easily pick it up at an import shop that sells American games for about $70.00. Since I beat White Knight Chronicles, my PS3 has been feeling lonely...so I am considering INFAMOUS as my next PS3 game.
Thanks in advance for your opinions.

i got this game last week, i'd have to say that infamous is everything a "super hero" game should be. the open city is cool, you can either go around healing or killing sick and injured civilians. GOOD vs BAD type of in game choices that effect the story. you can climb pretty much any building. you can take side missions that eliminate gangs from the city and give you extra powers stuff like that.
controls are good, overall its a lot of fun to play lol
id say the only annoying thing is that cole's shoes make a squeeking sound when he runs.

I think I would just go around killing civilians instead of helping them. It sounds fun. Thanks for your input.

I haven't played it yet, but it's made by the people that made the Sly Cooper series, and supposedly it has very similar game controls, though a very different story and presentation. If that's the case, it's probably a worthwhile game. The Sly Cooper games are great.

Dude, it might be slightly cheaper to get it off PlayAsia: http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-19-71-bm- ... amous.htmlhashiriya1 wrote:The game won't be released in Japan any time soon, but I can easily pick it up at an import shop that sells American games for about $70.00.
They ship for free within Japan and sell all available versions (regions) of games. For some (possibly important) reason, the Asian versions are always about ten bucks cheaper.
::EDIT:: I just realized I bought the "Asian" version of Call of Duty World at War from them because it was cheaper. As far as I can tell it's exactly the same as the US version. Even the text on the box is all English. There's nothing indicating it's the Asian version, it was just cheaper.

If you think you'll be killing and destroying like you said, you may want to consider Prototype. Its chaotic, violent and just a blast to play. Its not perfect, but a lot of fun.

When I bought this game, I played it non stop (like 4-8 hours a day) for a week until I beat it. Then I played again as an evil guy, on hard difficulty, to get all the trophies. I LOVED this game. It's my favorite on the ps3 together with LBP and Valkyria chronicles. Buy it, it's worth every cent of it's full price.
just one thing. play as the good guy, cause the story doesn't make a lot of sense as a bad guy

Good looking out. I might buy it from that site if I don't find it on yahoo auctions cheaper. Thanks!
