Dunno why but this was my favorite track from all of the Sonic games. Something about it just reminds of the good old days.
Stage 2 theme - Contra

Clocking in at 20 years old, the theme from contra Stage 2 borders on almost annoying but good god I spent so many hours playing the game when I was younger that I sort of learned to love it.
Castle in the Mist - ICO

Midnight Wandering - Metal Slug 3
Listen:
The best song in the game from the best game in the series. This hard hitting song plays during the zombie level. The creepy vibe of the tune goes so well with all the super-natural action going on in the level.
Shadow's Theme - Final Fantasy III
Listen:
This is just such an intriguing song, it almost sounds like a piece out of a spaghetti western. Shame on all you impatient gamers
Title Theme - Super Metroid
Listen:
I remember popping in this cart for the first time and this song really set the tone for the game. Slow breathing, epic.
