Also I think I'm going to get the Orange Box even though it's ugly as hell because most shops around here think TF2 should cost more than the Box itself =/
Can I deactivate Portal on Steam so I can sell/give it?

Not sure what that means either.Mozgus wrote:Orange Box is ugly as hell?

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Older. Not wiser.

Let's see if I can decode. There are two retail packages. The first is standalone TF2, for some price, let's say $30. Then there is the Orange Box, which he feels comes in very ugly packaging, that only costs $25. So it's basically a no brainer to buy the Orange Box.

No, you cannot deactivate your games and re-sell them. That's the whole point of steam...

Yes, that is it.MrPopo wrote:Let's see if I can decode. There are two retail packages. The first is standalone TF2, for some price, let's say $30. Then there is the Orange Box, which he feels comes in very ugly packaging, that only costs $25. So it's basically a no brainer to buy the Orange Box.
I hate digital distribution, it makes us costumers pay more in the end and is full of inconveniences.
So supoussing I want the three games and I already have Portal, do you think I should buy the box or get the games alone? I think HL2 will be released with it's three episodes in a pack so it may be worth waiting.
And while I hate the Box art if getting them alone is too expensive I would get it even if I end up with two portals . What do you think?

You might be able to gift the copy of Portal in the Orange Box.

If all you really care about is the packaging, I can scan my cover of TF2 and send it to you.
