Inkheart - a Brendon Fraiser romp with literary creatures. Its based on a Scholastic book series condensed into one film, so I wasn’t expecting much. But it was quite enjoyable in a Brendan Fraser film kinda way.

...and the last movie I saw was Star Trek. Fun but overrated.

I await Terminator Salvation impressions. Why was TSCC axed before the film earned a single penny at the box office? Not that it matters as the second series was pretty mediocre.

I just watched a British sci-fi from 1960, Village of the Damned. It was an enjoyable movie, with some interesting performances, especially from the hive-mind psychic children. It's use of a brick wall as an expression of mental discipline is downright great. I did have one problem, but it's a problem I have with many films: nobody asks why. Why do the children choose to kill to protect themselves? Why do they operate the way they do? What are their inevitable plans? Why use the human race?
But then again, sometimes the less explained, the better. That the movie doesn't explain it is likely a strength.

My Bloody Valentine 3D. Pretty good, but personally I don't like how it doesn't feel like REAL 3D. I mean, why can't stuff fly out in the home version? Instead, we just get stuff hitting the screen and that's it. But then again, they don't do 3D stuff at my movie theatre... yet(?), so IDK whether or not it's real 3D where you almost get hit by something flying towards the screen.

Sad to say, I already knew this from having seen it. I had blocked it out of my mind entirely up until watching the original, when it came flooding back in a wave of color knock-off crap.
