Ok, so I kinda want to sell my ps3 for a 360...but i don't know and really want some input...but i would also like to know if I will have the funds..heres my PS3 stuff..
80gb PS3 hardrive loaded with Family Guy
1 Dualshock 3 Controller w/ USB
MGS4 Headset
Assassins Creed
Dead Space
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition
Fallout 3
Grand Theft Auto IV
Metal Gear Solid 4
The Orange Box
Resident Evil 5
Uncharted
now If i got a 360..this is what I would NEED
360 (elite preferably)
Live membership and headset
Games I MUST have:
Resident Evil 5
Fallout 3+money for all 3 DLC packs(main reason for the switch is the DLC for this game)
Oblivion: GOTY
Games I'd settle for not having right away..but still necessary:
Dead Space
GTA IV
The Orange Box
Assassins Creed
Star Ocean 4
Mass Effect
Left 4 Dead
Fable II
so I just don't know what the best choice is...if ps3 gets Fallout 3 DLC then It's made up for me...but...it doesn't look that way....but if i sold all that ps3 stuff would it be enough?
PS3 for a 360...
Re: PS3 for a 360...
I wouldn't count out a PS3 F3 GOTY edition with the DLC down the road. I don't know the specifics of the deal with M$, but I can't imagine that Bethesda would not have a clause in their contract with M$ to at some point be able to provide the expansions on PS3. It might take another year, but that's a lot of money that Bethesda would lose out on...

Re: PS3 for a 360...
I wouldn't do it - all the games you mentioned with the exception of Fable 2 and Star Ocean 4 can be played on PS3 or PC. I am pretty sure all three Fallout expansions can be had on the PC, too - you should pick up that copy of the game. MGS4 and Uncharted are, in my opinion, much better than either of those two 360 only games...and I think the PS3 has more interesting exclusives that are both out now and forthcoming.
Re: PS3 for a 360...
Keep your PS3. Developers have been recently tapping into the console's true potential releasing great games with awesome graphics. Sure the 360 might have better game selections, however the PS3 is a console that is "catching" up. Xbox 360 is slowly reaching its peak (if not then already has) and it is still a great ssytem now that Microsoft has fixed the RRoD plague. However, now is a great time to own a PS3.
Personally I have a 360 and id much rather prefer the 360 over the PS3 anyway. the price of the PS3 and the lack of games at launch is what killed it for me. I used to be a huge PS1/PS2 fan but the ps3 in my opinion is a failure. Technically its a great system, but if you were to ask me which system is worth having at this time...Then the 360 it is!
But if you already own a PS3, then keep it because its actually gaining strength and the PS3 is built to have a long lifespan.
If you are going to get a 360 elite, make sure you dont get the current 360 Black Elites because virtually none of them are the new Jasper models (Its fucking May 2009 and still no Jasper BLACK 360 Elites). The new Jasper models have a smaller CPU and GPU meaning it uses less power and produces much less heat than the previous models, eliminating the RRoD.
I have a 360 Elite and unfortunately its a Falcon model. But it works great and from what I have researched, there is only a small difference between the Falcon and Jaspers. Jaspers just use a little bit less power. The only good thing i can say about the Falcons over the Jaspers is that most of the older XBOX 360 models that i have heard have a quieter DVD drive. Jaspers use the loud Philips model.

Re: PS3 for a 360...
I think that more developers are willing to create PS3-exclusive games, similar to how devs are slowly starting to make serious Wii-exclusive games, like MadWorld, as opposed to the old Wii exclusives that consist of some kind of crazy party game. We're also starting to see some really nice Japanese titles if you're into those kinds of games.omer wrote:Keep your PS3. Also - "A GOTY version of Fallout 3 will be available in October for PS3, 360 and PC, which will include all five add-on packs..."
Re: PS3 for a 360...
The GotY edition is not surprising at all. The fact that the PS3 is now getting DLC kind of angers me, in that they should have been getting it at the beginning. This timed exclusivity on DLC is really stupid, in my opinion. Of course I got Fallout 3 on the proper platform (PC), but it's the principle that counts.
