I need to see that just for Hank Azaria. I have a man-crush on that guy.fast wrote:Run Fatboy Run - Excellent film for Simon Pegg fans, or those who like the concept of Apu from the Simpsons being a villian.
What was the last movie you've seen?

I watched The Longest Yard last night, the 1974 version. I thought it was pretty funny, though not nearly as over the top as I thought it would be. Still, an enjoyable romp. I don't think I've seen the remake.

And once again I watch a film. This time it was a black and white spy film from the mid-1960s, The Spy Who Came In from the Cold, based on the novel by John Le Carre. It portrays a very bleak view of the intelligence community and what it must do to function. All in all, pretty good, though I hear the book is better.

Watched Total Recall last night for the first time in about 7 years.

I haven't watched Total Recall in a while. Gotta love Arnold films.
I just watched Once Upon A Time in China II. It featured some impressive wire work, but just didn't thrill me as much as the original. Only two of the fights really caught my interest, and for some reason I've never really felt Jet Li was suited for any kind of comedic work, so many of the jokes just didn't phase me. All in all, a better kung fu movie than most of what comes out of China, but I'd say go with the original.

And once again I follow up myself. I just watched Spartacus, staring Kirk Douglas, Laurence Olivier, and a whole slew of other people. I had always heard that it was an excellent movie, and I'm happy to say it truly lived up to it. Seriously, if you want to watch a gripping film, it's one to see.

Sadly, my wife wanted to see Schindler's List yesterday. She had never seen it and I had bought it a few years back on DVD so she was obsessed with watching it (I suppose to justify it's existence in the house...i.e. taking up space).
Good movie, but really depressing.

Yeah, it is a depressing movie, but it's film at its finest. I had a similar experience with my girlfriend back in college. I found out she never saw it and I sat her down and watched it with her.

A friend let me borrow Ichi the Killer. Probably the most f*cked up movie I have ever seen. It was awesome.

Which version did you see? There's the original, then a dubbed down version released initially in the West. Both keep the general idea, but the weaker one cuts a good bit of material.wip3outguy7 wrote:A friend let me borrow Ichi the Killer. Probably the most f*cked up movie I have ever seen.
