This stuff is FREAKING crazy! It's the ultimate in television technology.

Thank you.lordofduct wrote:Really... when it comes down to it. HDTV can't really be seen with out all the gadgets and gizmos to go with it.
DVI cables, high quality A/V receivers, a device that puts out good quality picture. Yes with say a high end receiver, a nice television and an XBOX360 you can REALLY tell the difference. But put that price together... is it really worth it?
No would say the normal consumer. It is not worth the 2500+ price tag. I for one spent a long time putting together my set up, and it is only 720p as I started with the television a couple years ago. But I'll tell you what, with all the pretty stuff i've collected... I get one HELL of an amazing picture that yes really does show off the HDTV for what it is. But worth the money?
no...
I'm afraid to say it, it really isn't worth all that much. Except in the big screen leagues. When you get up to your 50+ inches (I've got a 60 inch screen)... then it does make the money look worth it. But how many people have 50+ inch screens? Not many, I'll say that for a fact.
It's similar to those guys at the car shows with the uber sweet sound systems. Yeah you say... ok, with all the right wires and speakers and receivers this does sound amazing. But the 200 dollars I spent on my little 10 inch sub and mp3 player in MY car... I'm damn fuckin' happy.
