mother 3 english handbook...

Post by nickfil »

is up for sale at fangamer. It is a pretty good way to show your support of the mother 3 fan translation and all the work that went into it. It is 240 pages and looks fantastic. I just picked one up and thought that my fellow retro gamers might like one too.

I received one of these from the initial preorder, and I have to say it's fantastic. It's very reminiscent of the original Earthbound Players Guide.

good to hear. These books seem like a real labor of love. I wish i was able to get the mother anthology that was offered a while back before the C&D.

I'm hoping that in 10 or 20 years when these are out of print they'll jump in price a bit and become a nice collectors item.

I pre-ordered one too and it is really really cool. They did a great job! A great book to collect.

You know I've never played Earthbound, but as of recently my interest has been piqued by all of this Mother 3 commotion; so I may just pick one of these up for some help through Mother 3 after I find and play through Earthbound on the SNES.

This.

I sat down with both the EarthBound Player's Guide and this Mother 3 guide and looked both over to see just how much is similar. It's amazing how detailed and carefully crafted this book actually is. I went ahead and ordered a second copy, just so I could thumb through one until it falls apart!

Also, Popo if you've still got your keychain from the preorder, I've seen them go for about $50 on ebay. I couldn't ever let mine go, but I figured I'd let you know...

Wow, that's insane. I've still got mine and I have no plans to sell it, just like my Mega Man 9 press kit. Not only do I not have the temperment to actually get around to listing and boxing up and shipping something, but I don't need the money, so I'd rather keep the collectable.

That's exactly how I feel. Honestly, I was surprised to see that people were willing to sell them to begin with. I couldn't even take mine out of the bag, let alone sell it online.

Anyway, it's a really great project. I'd really like to see another made for Mother 1.
