its only about 30 40 mins long.
it tries to cram a manga into that amount of time so it can feel like the characters are a bit underdeveloped at times.
but the real reason you want to watch this is the grate animation and OST

a upload of the anime on youtube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5cwK9R_9CA

i first learned about it from a youtuber called kenny lauderdale who dose videos exclusively about old anime especially ones from the 80s.
hear is the video on dragons heaven he maid

check out his other videos he covers some good stuff.

^ I think I was watching his video a number of months ago, but I can't remember how I got funnelled into it. Something about one of the artists, maybe--.

At least I feel some motivation to finish the novels. This second film is supposed to start deviating from the novels on key plot points, though.

I just finished Adult Swim's Lazarus. It was ok. Little bit disappointed with it, I know it'd never match up to Cowboy Bebop, but it was definitely trying to and I felt like it missed the mark. The pacing was fall out strange at times to me, and large amounts of the run time feel kinda wasted. Things meander around a bit and plots can be poorly explained at times.

Still pretty decent, worth watching especially if you have Max already. 7.5/10.

I'd love to see an anime take on Greg Rucka's Lazarus graphic novel series.

I finished Frieren, and it's actually making it harder for me to enjoy other anime LOL.

It's THAT good. Great writing, great animation, and just fun little moments like this

It's one of my favorite shows now. I had a friend dog on me when he walked in on me watching it - the elf girl thing makes it a little off putting for some  but the writing in it is basically unmatched. I don't watch much new anime, but I'd have to say this is the best series of the 20s so far.
