Again people can do whatever they want, but it just doesn't really drive any conversation. my 2c.
Yeah, I did sometimes do that. If it's something I have been after for a while, I got something for a great price or there is an interesting story I will try to share. It just depends though. I have been recently buying a lot of 360 stuff and most of it isn't that interesting and the games have been dirt cheap (aside a couple of pricier games).

Anyways, I picked up Power Drive on the Mega Drive. It's a European exclusive racing game and a really good one. I have been after this game for a good couple of years now, but it's fairly rare and not been one that I have been desperate enough to own that I am willing to shell out a reasonable price for it the second one is listed. It's not super expensive, it typically goes between around £50 and £70 here, but I haven't been prepared to pay that on the rare occasions copies have shown up. I waited and managed to get a complete copy for much below what the game typically goes for (the caveat being that the manual is a little scruffy), getting it for around £27 + postage (think it was about £30 all in). I am glad I finally own it. It's not in bad condition at all, other than the cover of the manual being bit ripped.

I also picked up the Witcher 2 on the 360. I really like the Witcher 3 and have never played any other game in the series before, so excited to try this one.

I'd never heard of Power Drive, looks like it was never released in the States on a physical cart but was available on the Sega Channel.

I haven't been able to get into top down racers, but I'll have to give it a spin via emulation at some point. The game has pretty nice cover art too!

Scored 11 games on Steam for a little over 30 bucks. Got the two Lara Croft isometric games (Temple of Osiris and Guardian of Light), Levantera: Tale of the Winds (obscure NES-style game that's been stuck in early access purgatory for years), Voidigo, Party Friends, Pampas & Selene: The Maze of Demons, Mr. Driller Drill Land (was cheap AF and hopefully will run on my device), Aeolis Tournament, When It Hits the Fan, Toto Temple Deluxe and Super Cane Magic ZERO.

I feel pretty fortunate that I was able to get Super Smash Bros Melee (a hot commodity unsurprisingly, given how popular the game is, not just in tournament circles) and Nintendogs for the Nintendo DS, both at surprisingly good prices. I got it for $45 and $9 respectively. The first game was from eBay and the second was from a local retro game shop that is locally owned and operated, and I was surprised they were going for less than what Amazon was going to charge for the same game.

Had some extra cash and snagged Nikoderiko: The Magical World for the Switch. It's pretty fun so far.

I picked up a really nice clean copy of Illusion of Time for the Super Nintendo. It even has the map, as well as the manual and standard pamphlets. It's a game that has been on my wish list for years, probably ever since I got my SNES about 15 years ago. I have thought about just getting a loose cart, but kind of wanted a complete copy, so I have just waited for one to come up for a decent price. Well this one did. It was a bargain price too. It cost £63 including delivery. I am not sure why it was such a good price to be honest, it usually goes for more in this condition, so I figured I better go for it or someone else will. The only reason I can see for the price is the manual is a bit scruffy, but it's not bad by any means.

I also took my son into town today to buy a book and saw some Xbox 360 games I wanted, so picked up some.

Wow! That box looks fantastic. Great pick up and a decent price!

I was wondering if I posted on RB when I got mine, and I did, 15 years ago!
After being outbid on my max bid of $15 for a NTSC copy of illusion of Gaia, at a local pawn shop today I saw Illusion of Time (Which is the PAL name for the title) for $25, talked the dude down to $10, very happy.
That converts to like £5, the fact I haggled on it brings me a chuckle, I don't think I have haggled for well over a decade.

On the next page of the post is someone saying that another member overpaid for spending $5 on Metroid Prime as its currently $3USD at Gamestop. A different time.

An upgrades version came out on the Jaguar Stateside.

I spent quite a bit of time with this one & enjoyed it. I had the MegaDrive version running a Genesis EverDrive at one point. The Jag release definitely was a solid upgrade effort to take advantage of hardware vs a straight port. I remember liking the weather effects and the cars headlights.

Wow, that's a cool story! 15 years ago was about how long ago I picked up a SNES. Even back then it sounds like you got an incredible bargain, but it is mad how much prices have increased. Secret of Mana was the first CIB boxed game I picked up, with the map and everything, and I think I paid about £25 or £30 for it. I am really pleased to have Illusion of Time at last. Terranigma is also on my wish list, but I don't know if I will ever get that one. Maybe I'll settle for a loose cart, but even that's three digits these days.

That's cool. I never knew it had a release on the Jaguar! It was released on the SNES too, but I assume that was also a European exclusive?
