Hey everyone, I noticed that a crap ton of Criterion Blu Rays are on sale on amazon for around $20 a piece. Not sure if there's any 4k stuff but not a bad price for Criterion releases.

I know there's another dvd/blu ray thread but this is the only one I could find.

I know that Barnes and Noble are doing another 50% off sale on Criterion releases.

I'm looking at slowly buying a dozen or so key (to me) 4K movies/sets. How's your buying experience been lately and from where? I do think over time, this is going to be become niche and the steelbooks/collector sets will keep it alive.

Where are the best sites to buy 4K disc online?
- Amazon
- Gruv - https://www.gruv.com/category/4k_ultra_hd_bluray
- Target - https://www.target.com/c/4k-uhd-movies- ... /-/N-3t3zf

A quick reddit hit showed these boutique dealers:
- Arrow Films
- Criterion
- Shout Factory
- Vinegar Syndrome
- Kino Lorber

... I didn't know you could buy direct from Criterion. I'd only heard of Arrow & Shout Factory otherwise.

What about in person/retail walk in?

... I know Barnes & Noble has a decent selection.

I was in a Target today and literally could not find them (or any movies). I recall Best Buy removing physical media. Are Wal Mart & Target following?

Check out DiabolikDVD, especially if you're after imports (4K is region-free unless otherwise stated) or cult classics.

Barnes and Noble is a GREAT place for Criterion Collection releases, if only during their 50% off sales in July and November.

Thanks for tip on DiabolikDVD.

Are you walking into a B&N or online sales? I'm a member and get free shipping on books. Not sure if that extends to other media...

Fortunate to have one of the larger stores relatively close. I quite enjoy going in, getting a coffee, & walking around. Recently been on a sci-fi reading kick, but need to add 4K BD rounds to my rounds in there :?

Online. I don't live near a Barnes and Noble store.

BOGO 1/2 off Sale at Amazon. Use 4K in search bar. Part of a larger sale. Some good UHD BDs in here.
